Notice of Public Briefing by the City of Brewster Regarding Ecology Funded Wastewater Projects

Notice is hereby given that the City of Brewster will be holding a public briefing regarding the Washington State Department of Ecology funded wastewater projects that are planned for construction in 2024 and 2025. The work also includes funding from a Community Development Block Grant, and a State Appropriation. The work involves improvements at the wastewater treatment plant, including screening, grit removal and upgraded UV disinfection, as well as improvements to the south lift station and gravity sewer improvements and elimination of two sewer overflow structures. Subsequent phases of work will include city wide open trench and trenchless Cured in Place Piping (CIPP) sewer line repair, as well as replacement of an aging water system well house, and construction of a vehicle storage facility. This briefing will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 6:00 pm. This will be a hybrid meeting, both in person at Brewster City Hall located at 105 S 3rd St., Brewster, WA. 98812 and virtually via GoToMeeting https://meet.goto.com/578543725. Any citizen may submit written comments or appear at the briefing to speak about the projects planned for construction in 2024 and 2025.
